    Default German Embassy Flag

    Hi, fellas.
I want to show you the original flag that was hanged in the German Embassy in Lisbon.
It came from the embassy cellar, i have contacted them yesterday hoping that they have more items for sale.
The flag is currently on sale for 700 euros, i had it in my hands, i love it
Its almost 4 meters long and 2 meters wide.
Its beautiful, if i can have the price lowered a bit, maybe i will get it next month.
    Cheers.
    Nuno

Wow, what an historical item! I often wondered what ever happened to the flag from the German embassy in Canberra as I have seen photos of it flying there. That would be terrific to have Nuno, I hope you get it mate, good luck, Dave.

Hi, Eric, its not Kriegsmarine marked.
This is the building today, however i failed to find period photos of it.
If the embassy staff contacts me back, im hoping they still have photos , documents and more for sale.

The flag was likely flown on a seperate pole to indicate the presence of a military attache. Good luck in your quest.

I thought that all German Embassys of the time had to fly the national swasika flag, so i would think that this was flown alongside the state flag if a High ranking Kriegsmarine officer was attending
