    Welcome Jerry.

This is not one I have seen before and will defer to others as I do not generally collect or study flags/banners. But I think this one stands a chance. The silver bullion fringe looks correct.

That said, but patient and wait for other opinions.

I agree with Michael as he is a pretty smart cookie! But seriously the materials and construction look fine to me. It puts me in the mind of a piece that would of been used at one of the tag der deutschen Kunst celebrations just my two cents. I only say this because it's obviously not a civil or state flag. Wittman's site is always good to reference for period flags, but see attached image I provided for reference. Kindest regards.

From Wittman's he lists it as only a podium banner but I wouldn't discount the Kunst association that said I'm not 100 percent sure of that attribution. Still a good period piece imo.

As the swastika isn't centred I would think podium banner also.

Another similarly constructed example but with a oakleaf motif around the swastika.

I've been called many things (handsome, lady killer, charming, etc.) but never smart!

Brian, only to be 41 again as you !! Those were my best years..40-45. Was a wonderful time. What happened ?? Be turning 61 soon. Me 61 ? My Dad is supposed to be 61, not little David. Enjoy your youth....that's what old timers used to tell me & I did not listen or care. Now here I am saying it.

It leaves me with limited years to enjoy my helmets & assorted militaria & to correct yours & MAPS errors & mistakes on this forum !! "Touche" !! my friend
