Hi Ewan, I would not buy this due to the damage. These should have black leather reinforced edges. Note now the damage to the example you show.

I would strongly advise you never buy anything damaged. New collectors are often temped by a cheaper price on these type of items. But they are a bad investment and will always be much harder to sell than a mint/very good conditioned item.

These pennants are not hard to find. Buy a good one.

I had a minty NSKK pennant about 10-12 years ago, but traded it off for something else. I never took pictures of it but don't remember if mine had a black leather border on it or not? I wish I could help better on this but just been too long since I last had the item in my hands to remember accurately.

Scratch the above posting-come to think of t, I do remember mine did have a black leather border on it. Mine also had the wire stiffener in it as well.
