Schelle Banner

Article about: Hello, Just picked up this schellenbaum banner. It is unusually heavy. The tassels and fringe are heavy in weight and metallic silver. Very detailed.

Look at the quality for the political banner from post 23
and the well-shaped eagle! The ladies that most often
made these handembroidered flags, were skilled very
well. For that they were known, but they also had their
    stencil-plates to work with.

Look also for the other banners, mr. Lyons showed for
    their quality!

    Hi,
Yes my one comes from the collection of Bill Shea. It is also to see in his latest book "the stories behind the treasures of world war II".
    Regards,
    Wim

A photo from the collection of Bill Shea (US), when he had his Schellenbaum banner collection, and I think several of these banners
    have now been sold off....
