I'm sure there are some members who can tell you right away if it is good or bad, but in the meantime, try smelling the material. 65+ year old flags/cloth items have a very distinct smell.

Seriously - after all, they are 40 years old now!! ( I particularly like the fantasy 'Stalingrad Shield' and wish I still had the one I bought in the 80's thinking it was TR era )
