I was looking for help identifying where this flag may have come from. It was recovered by a member of the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division at some point in Western Europe...
Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum! I am not a political collector so I can only advise here. I THINK this will be a Sturmabteilung Sturmfahne? If so, it would represent 17th Kompanie of SA-Standarte 30. Sadly I don't have a list of SA Regt's to find out where it might have been liberated.
Now, this is more speculation on my part, but green was the collar patch colour for the Thüringen SA Gruppen. So if these colours were carried through onto the flags....
Cheers, Ade.
If the color in the picture is accurate, this is steel green. SA Gruppe Kurpfalz used steel green with silver piping as their colors.

Hi Bob, many thanks for that info. I was struggling here.
Cheers, Ade.
Gruppe Kurpfalz; Brigade 151 (Saar); Sturm 17/30; Standarte 30= Saarlautern. Area near the French border not far from Metz.
