Hi all,
A friend of mine obtained this one recently, it is outside my area of knowledge, I was wondering if anyone
knew what it was, my guess is political, but exactly what I don't have a clue ?? Any ideas ??
Many thanks
Cheers

Never seen anything alike in my life... Though from what I can see it looks a bit 'unrealistic' if that makes sense? The eagle almost looks like it came out of a comic.
Here is an image from the net for a Kreisleitung vehicle pennant, eagle is similar....
if original and depending on what size it is an SA command-flag for an SA-staff
or car pennant for the leader of the SA-district of Hansa!
It was shown as such in the SA-Verordnungsblatt and published on December 2, 1935
as Ch.Nr. 64460.
If 90x90 it is a command-flag; if 30x30 cm then a car flag. The eagle is the correct form
according the order from the Oberste SA-Führung.
Its a SA Gruppe Flag/Standart from the particular area noted(Hansa -located in North Germany) .

Thanks very much Wim and Horst, your assistance is greatly appreciated ! (I will ask about the size of it).

Your friend found a very nice item. My guess from the picture it is the smaller version for a vehicle.
Bob noted it is the big one (about 1 mtr square), so a command-flag!!
An interesting piece that appears to be an original item. It is unusual as all of the SA command flags I have encountered over the years(likely close to 50) have been printed. This includes a SA Gruppe flag. There may have been an order allowing embroidered models. this is Wim's territory and I will not venture a guess.
