Article about: Certainly not a TR era piece. Look at the reflective fabric! Its like plastic! Perhaps a flag made for some white supremacist, but could easily be something made to dupe collectors.

Looks like the 5 or 6 point star can be attributed to gangs or the Klan but pictures are scarce and its not a standard Klan symbol so may be a sect or off shoot of the Klan or Aryan group of sorts. Maybe 1970's.

The fabric feels like silk...definitely a conversation piece. I can't find any info on it other than what's been said in this post. The store had it as part of a display, when I asked the price they said that they would chew on it and let me know. The thing is, does it have any value?? As there is no way to confirm what it is or isnt.

I suppose it has no value as an original third reich piece and as it can't be positively identified as to what it actually is, it's value would be what you're prepared to pay for it.

I'm wondering if this could be German-American Bund-related? Just a thought...

The construction, design and materials is wrong for the TR era. It is definitely relatively modern and postwar. I believe that this is simply an Aryan Nations or skinhead type group flag. I have doubts on the KKK connection, as they rarely-if ever-use the Nazi Swastika as a central element to their symbology. At one time, I would have said that it definitely did not fit in the American Nazi party paraphernalia, but of late, they've developed a penchant for inserting other symbols into the 4 corners of the Nazi Party flag, so it could even be from the ANP. As for value, I would have to say that it is, for all sakes and purposes, unfortunately worthless.

Is it possible that this could be for a religious purpose, besides the Klan, since the Swastika was a religious symbol before and after the war. But in my opinion this is a possible Klan item, hell, bring it to Alburtis, PA and some people will gladly take it.

Silk..Hmmmmm.... Klan.... Neo-Nazi / Klan... or other group.... I'd pass personally.. I would sooner display any of my Third Reich flags in my room and thought a "Kook" rather than have that hanging up and remove ALL doubt....Gwar

Bund pieces of this type and of the era are generally within the lines of the Nazi party itself. The fringe does look yellow and it is wrong sort of, what is really weird is its not typical with that bunting and those loops that you would find this on a common fake. Not to say its real or even a chance but almost as if its some kind of post war Frankenstein and its designed to hang podium style. I would think religion and Bund are both off the table and some kind of Aryan piece or mock up of sorts, its a skin head type of piece and trying to think for them is just fruitless. Pretty weird whatever it is.

I think this may be a movie prop. It is to high quality to have just been slapped together. I will post some detailed pictures tomorrow.
