Hello 4thskorpion. Yes, there were of course standards for specific items,
but from information I know that even for the RZM occasionally items
were not according to standards and manufacturers were reprimanded.
Sometimes this resulted in loosing the permission.

A friend of mine specializes in material from the Deutsche Jägerschaft.
I always was wondered in seeing the many differences in design for the
worn arm-patch and the DJ-pennants. To be honest, throught the years, I
have seen so much different designs, I also wondered where the process
    contol procedures failed!

Note the both insignia for RAD included. They had their control organ also,
but notice the differences in the details for the lower part of the shaft from
    the spade!

Two different manufacturer's with the RAD control-mark!! But we are
deviating from the real subject: the shown flags!!

This has turned in to a very interesting and educational thread. Many thanks to our resident documentarian Wim Saris for his contributions once again. After four pages of discussion, it appears that the flag that began this thread is genuine if it conforms to all of the details previously mentioned in the thread.

Great flag Brandon. Chris Farlowe: he was a English singer in the 1970's, who collected TR stuff, isn't?
He was indeed Wilhelm. Still singing I believe

"He became known for his collection of Nazi memorabilia, sparking controversy among those who saw it as a betrayal of his “soul roots”." Farlowe’s fame

Amazing how collecting TR stuff is so misunderstood...Caesar was a bit of a prick but no one goes off about collecting ancient Roman stuff

I remember well "Out of time" from Farlow, a song we always used to play and me sing
with my band "Vict '67" (The Victoms). We played all Saturday and Sunday evenings
in dance halls - in the south of my country - with many songs of Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett,
Elvis Presley and Little Richard and/or whatever one liked in those days!
We had the same equipment as the Beatles (all over VOX). I stopped in early January 1969,
got married and later that year I started collecting (Japanese katana). Shortly thereafter I started
collecting TR, so German stuff. Found out many years later Farlow also collected TR!!
