    Good morning all,
Just wanted to share this with you, I purchased this flag from a british veteran whom brought the flag home with him, all damage / patching was on flag when he aquired it on the trek home some 68 years ago
It has pole / banner sleeves at each end... was it a building flag?
    its approx 7' x 30".
    Regards
    Dan
P.s. The centre is 2 large embroidered badges 1 on each side, with printed swastika to centre

It is a story like so meany others, but it is the story that was told to me from a direct witness.
I had an house to clear, from the cellar to the attic, of an elder couple that was going to a small flat to enjoy theyre further life.
Off all the houses I ever cleaned up I never came across special militaria, mostly if there was some, it concerned very commoun badges or medals.
Exept once , but I did'nt get to do that job.But thise is an other story!
But with thise couple, when I got to the cellars, I found two WH Zeltbahns. "Things" he used to put on the floor when he had to paint the house. ....As you could tell from the paint spots on the Zeltbahns.
So I asked him if he had any other war time souvenirs, he looked at me and said; "you don't want to remember thise periode".
And then he told me he was an officer with the Belgian armed forces, and spend most of the time in the UK. He participated to the liberation of Antwerp and stayed there. He got appointed to clear out all the former German locations, meanly offices in the center of the town....
Everthing got burned or ended at scrap yards.
    ....
Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!
    cheers

I actually like the fact it is bashed up and shows where its been shoved into a bag to be brought home as a souvenir... sort of been there done that! Shame so much of this stuff is still getting binned as the generations lose touch and its historical value is unapreciated!
