Hello Piotr nice to see you here interesing buckles and the first time I have seen one, I take it a nazi sympathisers buckle of some form?
Ben
hi Ben
Yes these buckles seem to be used by nazi symphatizer, interesting is the method of construction. It seems like these are "self made" buckles.
Maybe somebody can show the similar example?
best regards
Piotr
Hello Piotr,
I have a very similar buckle. It has the same characteristics as your buckle with the buckle being non-magnetic except for the catch and slide bar. Definitely a sympathizer buckle but strange to see another of this type. I collect many sympathizer buckles, specifically one-offs, which I think this is but if more should surface I would say this buckle could have been produced by some cottage type manufacturer. In looking at yours and mine I believe they originated from the same maker.
hello Dan
You right, these are the same constructions. I have seen 3 more buckles from the same "manufacture" but each of them is a bit different.
I think that Marc Verstraete has one in very good condition.
Even though this buckles seems to be rare, and interesting.
best regards
Piotr
Hello Piotr,
Here are a few more sympathizer buckles for review.
