Any ideas, Ben? ;-)

Article about: Take the "1" away from the \\$150 and you'd likely be closer to the true value, but I still wouldn't consider it...

Seller says it's WWII, but seems to have a lot of WWI stuff. Interesting how from a distance the design of the center seems to form a swastika. But anyway, what is it?

Looks pretty neat anyway, and obviously real.

Although I can not identify which one, the sheild or "Wappen" represents a specific district. It is original.

Not a buckle I am familiar with, the only thing I can think of is like Ralph said previous, one of the City or District buckles, I have had a look through the Angolia and Nash book and the design is not in there, maybe one of the German members will recognise the shield

Looks like StuG nailed it, good work.

Way cool buckle, asking price of $150, but it fairly reeks with personality, and it is probably rare. For the advanced buckle collector?

Depends on if you collect that sort of buckle, at $150 I would not take it, but that is me

Maybe if there was no rust and a person were collecting by district, but not worth $150. in this condition.

I believe this is a postwar buckle...Police/Fire Department. Not worth $150 by any stretch, in my opinion....

Glenn got it these are post war police buckles, i've seen others with the coat of arms of other town/cities selling for about $50, $150 is waaay to much!...
It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.
