The postman dropped off three nice additions yesterday. First up is a National Mining Association buckle. Angola's book says these are 90mm but this one measures about 94mm x 48mm. Great looking eagle attached with three bent pins. I sold off all my regular mining buckles but I have always wanted one of these unique buckles. A old buddy had one of the Mining stove pipe shakos with a huge eagle like this.

Very nice buckle Kirby and IMO quite an under rated buckle. I think these are one of the nicer looking buckles around. Also heavily faked now as well!

Hopefully this is a good one. I did see one on WFA with square nuts and I didn't like it. These can't be heavily fakes or I would have seen more than 2-3 at the SOS and Maxx in the last ten years.

I think it is time, you get yourself a catalog Stig/Bittaker. For example an Assmann reprint.
Or buy a proper buckle book!! Just an advise.....

By the way these buckles are being faked since the later 1960's/early 1970's anyway!
