Someone started a best of thread on WAF so might as well get one going here. Kind of a slow year only picking up a dozen or so buckles. Here's my favorites. 1. A real nice SA with a seldom seen roundel. Great condition and it came on a nice belt. 2. Runic swastika and marked RZM36. I always pick up marked ones when I find them. 3. Seldom seen private purchase Water Police buckle. 4. A private purchase Heer with the right facing eagle. I never pass on one of these at the right price. 5. A Gymnastics Association to Reichsheer conversion. My favorite buckle of the year. 6. A nice aluminum Bahnschutz with the variant center catch. My second favorite of the year. 7. A little beat up but I am always looking for Variation Stahlhelm buckles. 8. A near mint HA 41 tropical Heer. This came on a excellent Postschutz stamped belt. 9. A near mint HA 42 Luftwaffe Tropical. This would be my favorite if it had a tab.

Very nice indeed and IMO it would be extremely hard to top these two Heer buckles .

    Regards Mark
Always on the look out for WW II Canadian Helmets and Cam nets to add to my collection.

Found a Canadian Mk II Medics Helmet and yes I know they are about as rare as hens teeth !!!!!

Great thread Kirby. I've only been collecting buckles for less than a year but must say I've never seen a mint aluminum Heer...way to go MD Helmets!

Hard choice, but for me this mint Gendarmerie Polizei Buckle - JMO 1941 with Dutch made belt
