Nice buckle !!! reneblacky.. Any idea as to the maker and does it have ties to TR buckle makers ??
Just wondering if the TR buckle makers had succeeded in continuing after the war... Regards... G
Cheers G, that's a question I have also! This one is from the '60's --there are minor variations on these DDR buckles ie. pebbling size and spikes. I have to credit member "comune1aclasse" on pointing out some of these details on my DDR Collection thread
    Regards
    René

Rene, This is the closest buckle I could personally find that slightly resembles your example sort of.. I am sure there are many characteristics that may differ in other collectors minds ..Any chance or other information regarding your nice post ? The lack of prong bar / shield for instance... G

Rene... A great link and thanks for the info... IMO, Humble as it may be it seems to me that some of the makers of the early "50's / 60's" producers have learned or followed traits by their predecessors.. Or were using methods already tried and true and may have been transitioned into post war production.. This is speculation on my part though.. I recognize certain traits on the pieces you have shown... Take care Rene.. Nice chatting with you again... Have a Great New Year of "Surprises" for us to see... G

I'm stunned... You guys are showing some incredible buckles!! This is my first year as a buckle collector so I just got 5 to show you
I will have a hard time to choose my favorite in this thread but I think that I have a leader....
My favorite among my own is the first one I bought, HJ m4/46 injected molded. It will always have a special place in my heart of course!
I'm also very happy about my Dj m4/30, that buckle made me feel that I also can find and buy great buckles.

I'm looking forward to a new year with you guys and new buckles!!

I know that I really should buy a system camera
