Dear All, I've found this 2 buckles on a auction site, my curiosity is to know if they are fake (pigeon head I mean) or not? The briglty one the vendor says was a kreigsmarine before 1936.

    thanks a lot

They are indeed reproduction buckles, go onto a re-enacment site and they sell them on their, trust me they are not genuine WW2 buckles

I have a belt buckle my Dad gave to me when I was a kid, he got it while serving in the Para's sometime during the sixties.

The buckle is SS, on the front it has the swastika in the middle with eagle on top and "Meine Rhre heist Treue!" written in a circle around the swastika.

The buckle looks to be pressed steel and is painted a light field grey and retains 99% of the original paint with the majority of the wear being on the raised centre of the buckle.

On the inside below the bar and hooks the buckle is finely marked with what looks like RZ (within a double circle), 155/43, and SS (within a double circle).

Does this look like genuine SS belt buckle?
