Early supporters full face swastika buckles
Here are a brace of the early "full face" and "upright" swastika buckles, which of course are now well documented.
They have been attributed to both the Freikorp and the very early SS, which I think is somewhat fanciful and instead, perhaps it is just an ad hoc and early overt NS buckle, possibly dating from the mid 1920's.
The buckle by the way appears to have an almost "cottage industry" feel and despite the first one posted, displaying a quite professional method of construction and a makers mark.

David

Looks like something i would have loved to knock up in the old metal work class given half a chance, but very nice all the same, thanks for showing.

Re: Early "Kampfzeit" full face swastika buckles
Great buckles David....these must be up there in the "rarity scale"....I've long been after one of these - but have not had any luck whatsoever! Great looking buckles. They ooze of history! Love 'em!

Re: Early "Kampfzeit" full face swastika buckles
Super nice buckles David, thanks for sharing, and thanks for the reference. I'm pretty sure most people would be fooled with the fake ones, given the rarity , I doubt if many have seen a real one
Great material, thanks again

A "new" and decidedly questionable acquisition !
Any comments would be greatly welcome.
