A few buckles for consideration

Article about: by Erno That is true, but I don't like to trouble the experts unnecessarily. Nonetheless, if anyone wants to give opinions about the buckles, it certainly would be an appreciated education!

Default A few buckles for consideration

Last night, I posted a Heer buckle for consideration, and when I e-mailed the seller, he told me that he had a few others for sale. I know it's recommended that we start a thread for each, but since there are so many at once, I thought it best to put them all in one thread, so as not to clutter up the forum with a lot of simultaneous threads. If it'd be better to separate them, please let me know and I will do so immediately.

I believe that these are a mixture of real and fake. I think the Polizei, Luftwaffe and buckles are real, the SS is fake, and I don't know about the SA and RAD. Here they are:

    Polizei:

    Luftwaffe (Aurich):

    HJ:

    SA:

A few buckles for considerationA few buckles for consideration

    RAD:

And finally, the SS. I believe that this type of catch is only seen on bad fakes.

Thank you very much in advance! I know this is a lot to ask at one time.

Thanks, Gunny! That's the only determination I was confident with.

I don't think the seller is German. Not sure why the swastikas are covered, actually. Maybe he's worried about offending somebody?

Please ask him for better photos but the RAD buckle looks to be good!..

As gunny has said the ss buckle is a stinker! I like the RAD buckle.

Everyone, please feel free to disregard this. The seller wants more than I thought initially, and he is in fact asking quite a bit more than these are worth. Apologies for wasting everyone's time!

Hey for people like me who are still learning fakes from real deals, threads like this really help out when it comes to testing oneself.

    My opinion is:

    Polizei - real
    Luftwaffe - real
    HJ - real
SA - unsure but leaning real
RAD - unsure but leaning real
    SS - obvious fake

For those interested, here's a better shot of the back of the SA:

The Luftwaffe buckle is an Aurich and the RAD is Klein und Quenzner. Comparing to genuine examples, I think they are both real. I can't identify the makers of the other buckles, because they aren't marked, and I'm not good enough yet to determine the manufacturer from appearances alone.
