Hi gents, my new baby has arrived and what a baby it is. This is a Nickel Tunnerbund buckle in Mint condition by Ernst Schneider, Ludenscheid. Some guys dont like these buckles because they have no Swazstika but for me a very important buckle, somewhere in the era of transition period. You will also find alot of early makers that are unheard of which again for me is very exciting. Anyway, this bad boy has its original tag on it, now is the tag a for sale tag or has the buckle been a Schneider display buckle when maybe doing trade shows/demos? It would be interesting to hear opinions if anyone has any BTW many thanks to Wicke you sold me the buckle veilen danke meine freund

Very nice buckle, Ben. I really like the dated tag. Thanks for sharing. Great addition!

Ben: this is a quite nice buckle in a mint condition. Great with the tag from
the manufacturer. You got it from Wickie?
Robin: Nr. 7400 is the article number for the "4F"-buckle (Frisch, Fromm,
Fröhlich, Frei), made from German silver (Neusilber),
dated July 5, 1933 and available for 40.0 Pfennig.

Yes Wim, I did get the buckle from Wicke Thanks for the info Wim, do you think this is a advertising tag for demonstrations or a for sale tag?

Very nice "Frisch, Fromm, Fröhlich, Frei" ("Hardy, Pious, Cheerful, Free") Deutsche Turnerbund (German Gymnastics Society) buckle. Amazing it still has that tag on it after nearly 80 years. Do you think the -.40 is perhaps the price? Would that be 40 pfennig?

yes, 40.0 Pfennig. Quite a common price for a German silver buckle in
1933. When buying 100 of them the price would be reduced to about
    25.0 Pfennig.

Maybe Wickie knows better then me what the exact purpose is, as he
    is the "ace" on buckle-knowledge!
In my opinion it could be a buckle (due for the tag) for a salesman,
who visited sports- and gymnastics unions. If they were labeled as
such in shops, I do not know, but is another possibility.

That is what I am thinking Wim, whatever it is I do not care anyway, still love the buckle
