    Default Nazi Strap

    Hi there!

I found this one in a very old farm here in Bavaria.
Does anybody know what is was used for? It has two stamps: one number and one eagle with the swastika on it.
    Just have a look:

    Hi, Glenn

We can rule-out K98 slings, I have 2 and they aren't configured in this way. Perhaps MP40 as suggested, not familiar with that sling.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig. CE

    hi !

I think it is neither a K98, nor a MP40 sling. if you google MP40 you see that they have different straps.
It is nearly 2 meters long.
Would that be long for a field telephone strap?
I found this pic on the net: Interesting is, that the eagle on the back of the receiver looks similar to the one on my leather sling.

It's not K98 or MP40, I've got a k98 sling and I've had an mp40 and neither were like this. What about an mg42?

To be honest I would post it in the equipment forum, you might get an answer there as it is definitely nothing to do with buckles, its worth a try. BTW could it be a strap from a Goulash Canone (portable soup container)?
