SA Schulterriemen/Cross-strap

I came across this very nicely marked SA Schulterriemen and thought it might be worth sharing. I'm not sure but I believe the pebbled gilt fittings were worn by SA leaders, but perhaps others know more about this...

Wih te SA, gilt does not mean general rank items. The SA used a series of Gruppe colors to identify where a particular SA man was from. As the colors were worn by two different Gruppe, further identification was clarified by the use of either silver or gilt buttons and other fittings For instance, Gruppe Hochland wore light blue colors with silver buttons and a silver center to their box buckle. Gruppe Bayernwald Ostmark wore light blue Gruppe colors with gold buttons and an all gilt box buckle, The metal fittings on the cross strap would coordinate with the other mettal colors. General officer ranks also followed this pattern.
