Hi guys, I have been to York this weekend with my wife for our anniversary, well as you do we slipped into a couple of Antique shops well I was amazed to be honest, out of every belt and buckle I came across I only found one original which was a WW1 Imperial buckle, all the rest were utter garbage!!!

So when you say garbage, were they fakes or just not up to Par for your collection?

Fakes Phil, almost everyone was a fake, even the leather belts! they had lots of awards in there and I bet any more they were crap as well, in all three shops I went in. They had some helmets in that even I knew were bad and I dont collect them!

Happy anniversary Ben! ( I clocked over 30 years of "wedded bliss" recently )

They may be blatantly selling these fakes - OR they could have been told by an "expert" who has seen "known originals" that they are all absolutely fine ..
That's my fear for the next generation of collectors when we have all shuffled off.......
