    Hello
Here is another one of the kind.
We have here "General Gau Honor Badge 1923" I'd say a very strange combination as this Gau Badge is not a tinnie but a real Award. Of course it is not a real piece here but die struck - two pieces, not silver made, as a real one and " the spider " is the wrong position moved to 3 o'clock position to the wreath instead of being at 12 o'clock.
It's not possible to imaging such combination in use after 1930, could be a very early cottage made piece and again Austria-Bavaria area - Buckle's body is old Austrian.

    ideas ?
    Alex.

PS: Thanks to Dan for the Buckle.

Interesting buckle for sure. Certainly looks like it's a one of a kind piece. Thanks for showing!

There is one very important and two part question to ask about this quite remarkable buckle.

Why on earth should someone decide to fabricate (fake) such a unique buckle which displays a very special emblem on a very distinct brass box ?

Perhaps a "double bluff" ? Perhaps not !

...maybe a Biker-made buckle, out of two original pieces ? I know some german bikers - or like say call themselfs "Rocker" - loved to wear swastikas in all ways on their jeans/leather jackets in the 1970s... even the Mutterkreuz/Mothercross...
But, thats just my two pennies worth.

    David Hello
I don't know. Box is obviously original.
"Badge" is stamped piece a very remarkable sign for the "Badges" guys
made from "wrong" material and assembled at the wrong way.
No chance to use it after regulations were completed, It's for sure.

    @ Thomas
as Buckle came from US, perhaps Harley Team.

Perhaps a good idea to put a cap on this slightly "iffy"and homo erotic discussion, however and most worryingly, I actually know persons in Bahrain who somewhat and vaguely resemble this "oik".

    David
