Two buckles coming at auction - police & luftwaffe

here are a couple buckles that will be at this weeks auction. Only front shots but what should be a red flag for the police one in particular? Like known fake mfg markings etc?

Joe, to be honest mate very hard to tell from them pics, rear shots tell all to be honest in most cases

The police buckle was a two piece unmarked and I was outbid - it sold for $100.00. The Luftwaffe was a one piece with no markings and prongs were angle cut so I did not bid but it also went high at $125.
