Looking through a collection of Third Reich Buckles spotted this unknown one (at least to me). Made a search of the internet, didn't find a second one and its not featured in my Koppelschloss handbook 1919 - 1945. My question is it a fantasy piece or not ? if not from which organization is it from! Thanks

A buckle for leaders of the Slovakian FS. For other specimens, see posts # 1 and 14 of this thread:

Delich Treases: buckles, tags, Italian items.

...But I don't think this one is genuine.

Can you please show the reverse of the buckle?

By the colour and make up of the buckle I am not a fan to be honest

The Delich one certainly has it's differences and the artwork looks crisper. A rare beast.

Thanks everyone for the replies, particularly thanks for the link - most helpful, its seems to belong to "Leaders of Freiwillige Schutzstaffel Slovakei" a unit which I can't remember seeing pictures of, also there are no pictures shown of the buckle reverses, unfortunately I don't have a picture of the reverse either. Pity we don't have front & reverse shots of a cast-iron sure 100% original. Both shown in the link had their critics. Cheers

Possible and I emphasise possible "stub claw" original, extracted from my buckle database which for this item, has an unknown source.

    Regards and best wishes,

    David
