Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Hi Paul, that is a real odd one!
Cap appears to be KM? Belt buckle could be KM?
But the tunic and collar tabs and lack of other insignia has got me puzzled?
Cheers, Ade.
Yep me too Ade , exactly what i thought KM Cap and buckle but the rest of it has got me baffled !!
It came with other photos of guys with the same uniform, on the close up ones KM buttons are on the tunic.
cheers
Paul

Hi Paul, KM is not a subject I am really that familiar with. I only know the very basics. The lack of any kind of breast eagle is odd.
Cheers, Ade.
Thought i'd bump this thread from many years ago to see if anyone has any fresh opinions ?

I am still none the wiser since 2008...
My best guess is some kind of KM affiliated auxiliary unit? "OT" or "NSKK"....
But the tunic is not KM cut, having got lower patch pockets...The collar tabs make me think "political".
Cheers, Ade.

I can't offer a positive ID either, but if I absolutely had to make a guess, I would say a KM-employed civilian security guard at a naval facility...
(By the way, I think the collar patches might be the Kriegsmarine's plain blue ones as worn on the pea coat by the lower ranks.)
