I've started to colorize some of my photo pick-up's and really enjoy watching them come to life as I do so. I don't know how much interest there is here for this sort of thing, but I thought I'd start posting them into this thread as I do them. I hope you enjoy!

Here, I've made an attempt at colorizing one of my recent photo pick ups using Photoshop and many strokes of color from a photo of another Panzer III sitting in some grass. It worked out kind of like a cigarette card.

    Here's the original:

Here we have a photo I picked up recently depicting a rally/parade at Unter Den Linden. I did my best to use reference photos to make this as accurate as possible, but it was difficult to find period images to work from. In that regard, you might call this one somewhat idealized.

Well how do you like that? I was curious what the German national anthem was in WW2, so I YouTube'd it. There's a clip in the montage of the very spot on Unter Den Linden that my photo was taken from. What are the odds?!

I got fairly close with my building colors after all. The wall between the two buildings shown wasn't a yellowish hue though, and looks to have been stone/white. Wouldn't be hard to fix though. Here's a screen grab:
