Pic No1 showing my grandfather Erich Renner as Infanterie Lieutenant in 1944, pic No 2 is Grandfather Gerhard Indiesteln during his basic training in the Navy in 1943.

Wow - that's pretty good man! As far as the arm patches, for sure I only know of the "blood & fire" patch on my Uncle's arm, not sure about the other ones. Here's a scan I just made of it.

DoggertDog- Thats cool that you have the uniform! I can still try to color it tho, but as you said...its pretty dark.

Don't worry if you have trouble colorizing it, I don't mind if you don't colorize it. You have also already colorized a photo for me a while back.

I really like the photo in your avatar!! awesome. Is it a modern image or a ww2 pic?

Leander, you did an awesome job, and I like how you have shown the different backgrounds and tunic colors. A good background color can make or break a colorization IMO.....but sometimes I have trouble finding a color that works

Chris, here is the SS portrait. If we had a scan, I think I could have done a bit better, but either way it is a killer portrait. I cropped it, so the photo is the only thing showing. Let me know if theres anything you would like me to change
