Estonia and Tallinn 1941 year. Interesting and rare pictures

Article about: Here I want to show some of the pictures, summer 1941 year. Very interesting pictures for me , because it's my town. First picture is destroyed soviet naval coastal battery, probably Suurupi

    More pictures probably from the same area (can you confirm?).
    By the way, who is this pair that keeps cropping up in all the pictures? As for the subject matter, the armored car in my pictures, I have some thoughts, but am not entirely sure.

    Likely not. I suspect it's Russian, there were only two ever made at Tallinn factories for the Soviet Navy (Baltic Fleet) special police mobile units (a.k.a. Zagradotryad). Evidently, based on ex-Estonian Army Steyr-640 trucks. Here's the second one. Place and date unknown. You could just make out Navy black uniform of the dead crew hanging out of the cabin. Battle damage to the hull and the turret also in evidence.

    Very interesting pictures! I also live in Tallinn and collect pictures from 1940-1945 connected with Estonia. I will post some soon!
