couple new ones...
- LW MG crew with camo (they blend in nicely)
Just found out this mans name, an Oberjager who served with 13./Sturm Rgt 1 (SA Koch). He took part on Crete 1941, in Russia 1942, Monte Rotondo 1943, an Italy 1944/45. He would be awarded the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold in Italy soon after this photo. A true combat Paratroop who survived the war! Photos like this mean so much more when you have some info like this. Sorry for the repost, but I thought I would share this new info
Couple new ones.....Luftwaffe felddivision troops on the Eastern Front.
Note the lack of collar tabs....which was common practice for some LwFD's. Rank was shown by shoulderboards. Also the "one button" Enhietsfeldmutze can be seen in wear I believe
Luftwaffe Jager, w/ Pelzmutze
Again, some lack collar tabs. Newly awarded EK2's and Erdkampfabziechen in wear
This thread doesn't seem to have too much interest, but here are some Luftwaffe Skijagers with Luftwaffe Bergmutze in wear I believe. Typical handgranaten tucked in belt
some beautiful new portraits of the one-button M43 cap in wear. Love those!
LwFD member with the usual stripped Collar Tabs. Interesting to note that this Oberfeldwebel still left a hint of tresse on his lapels, maybe to still help represent his rank. Photo was taken in late 1943
