Very nice photograph; thanks for bringing it to us. Must say, the similarity between father and son is unmistakable...
Anyway, the presence of the cuff title means the photograph was taken no earlier than autumn 1936, as the honor title "Friedrich Schlegel" was bestowed on the 7th SS Standarte on 25 September 1936. Also note the hand-written caption "Standarte VII Plauen" on the back of the photo. Plauen was the seat of the Standarte's HQ at the time (before that, it was Zwickau and in the late-war period Tannenbergsthal).
