    Hello Jannis, the answer may be in the signature of the postcard. I can't read it but based on the letters I see it may be an Italian name. I would guess Italian. Fantastic postcard !

    I think the signature it's the numbers 004.
    I think so too it's Italian,I hope anyone can confirm this.

    Would the German soldier being depicted as the taller of the two have any significance?

    Can you read the signature on the card right below the italian soldier ?

    I actually thought the opposite because the Italian soldier was in the forefront of the card and the German showing his back but then i realized it just depicts Italians defending the south from invasion and the Germans from the North and West. It is an interesting postcard
