THIS IS A THING YOU DON'T WANT SEE STRAFING IT'S GUN TOWARDS YOU!!!!
Sturmtiger (German: "Assault Tiger") is the common name of a World War II German assault gun built on the Tiger I chassis and armed with a large rocket launcher. The official German designation was Sturmmörserwagen 606/4 mit 38 cm RW 61. Its primary task was to provide heavy fire support for infantry units fighting in urban areas. The few vehicles produced fought in the Warsaw Uprising, the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of the Reichswald. The fighting vehicle is also known under a large number of informal names, among which the Sturmtiger became the most popular.

They are good photos but can't have been taken in April/May 1941-the tanks are MkIV G models with the long barrel L48 75mm guns introduced into service in late 1943.

Hopefully this comment might revive this thread as people may have bought new armour photos since it was first posted.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
