Default Grandmother's brother photo - Tunic identification

Hi everyone, in my old family photos I found this photo of my grandma's brother, he served as a Pioneer in German Army, during WWII. I've got a question about his tunic, what model of tunic is it ? It's not M36, maybe it's some Reichswehr model reissued to Wehrmacht ? Photo was taken in september 1940. Thanks for any help !

I think you are correct and it is an earlier Reichswehr tunic.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks for replies guys, yes my grand uncle survived the war, he died in 1970's. This is his only photo in german uniform that I have. After the war Upper Silesia was incorporated to Poland under communist occupation and everyone who served in German Army (almost every Silesian) was treated by new communist government as enemy. Veterans can't talk about their war experiences, and every documents, photos etc were destroyed. Thankfully communist era is over and we can talk as a free people now
