Default Help with: Where in Russia?

Here are a couple of photos from a Gross Deutschland photo album that I have and are either 1941 or 1942 but can some one help me with where in Russia these are.

I've also added a photo of a Russian units battle flag? Can it be identified at all?

I've also got all the documentation for the soldier whos album it was so it will help me link it all up.

    Thanks for all help

The flag is a political one.

I love the park with the signs (Sports badge) over the gate.

Worked this out now, the photo of the sign is Chernigov on the Gomel to Kiev road in late August 1941. Why can't the russians keep to a consistent spelling of place names!! I'll see what other photos i can work out now.
