Do you know if this is General Ludendorf with Hitler? The foto is dated 1931.

Ludendorff marched with Hitler during the Beer Hall Putsch. While the others fell or were hit by the police gunfire Ludendorff marched on through the police barricade. Either not targetted out of respect from the police or just luck.

Erich Ludendorff was offered a GFM position by Hitler. He refused the offer. And lived a few more years...

Hi Bob, yes it is him. Ludendorff broke with Hitler after the failed Putsch and even wrote to Hindenburg warning him about Hitler and how he would drag Germany into the Abyss.

The picture itself is a contemporary fake. Here's the original photo of Hitler, flanked by Alfred Rosenberg and Friedrich Weber of the Bund Oberland taken on 4th November 1923, watching a Freikorps march past.
