    Sorry, Chris, but no: The Düna is not the Danube. Düna is the German name for the Daugava River. (See: Daugava River - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )
    (The Danube is called Donau in German and is nowhere near the Latvian border anyway.)

    Pļaviņas (spelt Plawinas here and also known as Stockmannshof by its German name) is a town in Latvia. It's located by the Daugava/Düna River.

    Northeastern Latvia. Marienburg is the German name for Alūksne. (In this case, that is. There are numerous other Marienburgs)
