Hi Ralph, your Pz grouping may welll belong to a member of Pz Regt 1. The tropical uniform with Pz collar tabs was worn by them in Greece in 1943.

    Cheers, Ade

    Thanks Bill!
It is really the only grouping I have, like I said, bought from I think 3 different sources. For some reason I just recognised him and bought as many as I could. Did you notice the third panzer guy on the bench is wearing an IAB?
Not unusual to see a Panzer guy who had originally been in the Infanterie or Panzer Grenadiers earlier in the war , nice photos !!

Hey guys, new to the forum so I figured I'd post a pic myself I'm trying to identify. Anyone have any idea who the general might be? Also is another photo of some German prisoners, both photos came from my great uncle who served in the 63rd Infantry Division New Photo Pick-Ups - Please ShareNew Photo Pick-Ups - Please Share

Nice info, thank you for sharing that Ade. Definitely good to know

Ralph- sure did see the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen! Paul is dead on w/ his post too. Still nice to see tho, for sure! I really really like the Tropical /Pz Rg1 portrait the most

Richard- I doubt we will ever know. But it sure looks like there are 2 pin holes vertically in the middle of the breast pocket. Kinda odd he took it off for a portrait shot too if it was indeed a medal/badge

Praetorian (Chris) - Glad to see that you have posted here and good to see that you have joined our forum. Ned might be able to ID that General if he is still around!
