Interesting stuff man. I wonder if he was indeed related to Walther Kurt, as I'm guessing it is a unique Surname.

I think the best photos that we all collect, are the ones of which we can ID! I think even finding these names alone, is somewhat honoring these men in a way....especially the ones that have fallen or passed.

Here is a photo of the 11th Panzer Division....Gespenster Division in Russia.

The "Ghost" unit symbol is kinda tough to see, but this was sadly part of a chopped up 11th pz Div album, recently sold on Ebay.

I got some really cool photos from 9. Panzer Division!

The neat thing is that it shows a mixture of the panzertruppe from the divisions different branches. I see a Nachrichten Abt 85 man (as well as a signals bolt on the train), I see a Panzer Gren rgt 11 Speiss, etc. I am going to try to ID the Speiss.

Im wondering if this train was being used for the Panzer- Versorgungstruppen 60 at this time for medical and or transport?

Check out the Panzer skulls and the tank drawings!!

My feelings exactly Bill , it's a very ordinary photo, no awards , no cuff titles , nothing special until you have the name and then it becomes a real person !!
