Anyone wanna take a guess at what type of Armoured Vehicle this is?? Thought it was just a regular Panzer, but....

It almost seems to have a tall, open-top and "fixed turret" like a Self propelled Vehicle. Then, the front has something on it, which at first I thought were spare tracks, but now I'm not so sure...?

I did think of that too Mo, as the guns would seem to match that. But doesnt it look like it has a tall/high armoured top? I think youre on the right track...... (no pun intended)

Hi Bill, it is an Sdkfz 251 A half track. Fitted the Pak 36. Note the distinctive front glasis plate and bumber bar of the early "A" version half track.

    Cheers, Ade.

I really like that Luftwaffe pic. The man obviously had a long career in the Kriegsmarine before he ended up in the Luftwaffe.

Yes and there is something funny about it,he is wearing his awards on the wrong breast, apparently the fotographer made a mistake in the development room.

Actually, he is wearing all of his awards correctly. However you can see that the photo has been mirrored. The zerstoerer abzeichen is backwards, and the EKII ribbon is going up in the opposite direction.

Edit: Just read your post completely, looks like you already figured that out for yourself. haha
