Hi Bill, it is an Sdkfz 251 A half track. Fitted the Pak 36. Note the distinctive front glasis plate and bumber bar of the early "A" version half track.

    Cheers, Ade.

Awesome Ade! Thank you very much. Someone has PMed saying it is the SdKfz 251/10 ....which would be correct with your description of the Pak 36! A nice early Support vehicle. Thank you again for your help w/ vehicle ID's

Great photos and knowledge being shared here lately! I love it. I also like the luft portrait, just reverse printed is all.

Well, I was able to track this photo down!

As you might remember, I have another photo from this day....which was on the day of General Hubicki's (9. Panzer Division) farewell ceremony. Here we see a new person shown, on the left in black wrap.....Hauptmann Franz Kohout (RK) who was a battalion kommander of Pz Regt 33.
Also, this shot shows a nice veiw of (RK + later Oaks) Walter Gorn's newly awarded Deutsche Kreuz in Gold!

IDs are: (left to right) Franz Kohout, Walter Gorn, Gen. Hubicki, and Wilhelm Schmalz

more photos from this day can be seen in Carl Hans Hermann's book: Die 9. Panzer Division - Pg 100

Nice ones Dean! And I agree Paul + Chris.....scanning pics and adding watermarks is not a fun task, most of the time.

Here is an odd photo....it shows a 1. Gerbirgs-Division truck with KIAs around it, who might be Russian...or maybe partisans? The odd thing is the picture got messed up and there is a mirage of a town/city in the foreground to the left. Looks as if 1st GJ Div left death and destruction in their wake!
Why would the truck be covered up?

(they were known for taking part in anti-partisan activities frequently)
