    I agree, it's him.

    Some observations:
He is wearing a Golden Party Badge. His rank in the photograph is Scharführer. The Standarte number on his right collar patch is not visible here, but in some of the other photographs, the men appear to wear the collar patch for the 34th Standarte. (We were talking about this in an earlier post of this thread.) His cuff title is for the 1st Sturm.
Oh, and notice his sleeve diamond: He was a former member of Freikorps Epp.

Photograph # 30 was taken at an earlier date: His rank is still Unterscharführer, and he does not wear the Golden Party Badge yet.

Don't know; but then again, I am terribly bad at faces. They are SA officers with at least one Political Leader visible in the background.
Thank you very much for your assistance Andreas! I personally don't know what to think of it all. I don't believe he was just simply a post man delivering to Haus Wachenfeld on his work route.

I beleive this is a previously unknown and unpublished image of Hitler's personal bodyguard the SS Begleitkommando taken C.1933-4.

The man carrying the chair is Bruno Gesche, the leader of the bodyguard around that time. The man seated behind his right arm, leaning against the window shutters, is I believe, Erich Kempka, Hitler's personal chauffeur, and the man seated imeadiately in front of him with hands clasped together is the ill fated Hermann Fegelein! The location is outside the Haus Wachenfeld. It would be well worth blowing up this photo and putting it up for discussion on the Axis History Forum for further discussion and more positive I.D.'s.
Sorry, but I just don't see a real resemblance to Fegelein; apart from that, as far as I know, he was never with Hitler's escort detachment. Furthermore, this man is a basic-level SS-Mann. Fegelein was practically an "Instant Officer": He officially joined the SS in April 1933 and was already made Sturmführer in June 1933.

The man carrying the chair is certainly not Gesche. Gesche had held officer rank since 1931, but the man in question is not an officer. (No officer's cap cords on his service cap.)

I agree concerning Fegelein Andreas, he wasn't around then I have since learned. I will also fall in line with it not being Gesche due to his rank at the time, but I do see a facial resemblance to him, but that's just me I guess.

Do you think it's possible that the men are SS Begleitkommando der Fuhrer though? I have a list of the original members, I wonder if you or some others could put names to faces if this is a possibility? There were originally only eight members, they were:-

    Kurt Gildisch (1899 - 1956)
    Franz Schädle (1906 - 1945)
    Bruno Gesche (1905 - 1980),
    Erich Kempka (1910 - 1975)
    August Körber (1905 - ?)
    Adolf Dirr (1907 - ?)
    Willy Herzberger (1895 - ?)
    Bodo Gelzenleuchter (1905 - ?)

    Regards, Ned.

Sorry, Ned, I really can't tell one way or the other. (I do not see anything that supports the theory, but also nothing that really contradicts it.)

To be honest I have no idea if you could be right on the SS Begleitkommando der Führer connection, Ned. Would be awesome though.

Andreas: The reason I believe that the SS-man in the middle on photo #33 is our man, is that he has a very distinctive profile, and very distinctive ears. If you take a look through all the photos to familiarize yourself with his facial features, I am sure you can see why I firmly believe that it is him.

From these and the earlier motorcycle photographs, it would appear that he was the rural-route mailman delivering to Hitler's residence.

I was going to say....this guy must have held an important Position for the Postal service! These are some great photos Kenneth, im really enjoying them. I like the transitional uniform photo with the brownshirt uniforms/etc. What is the Badge above the Sturm 1 cufftitle in the photo of the SS man drinking from the bottle sitting in chair???

ADE: Thank you for the Abtielung ID. My first search on Lexicon website only revealed a PZ Gren Reg 66 with the 13th pz div....which didnt make sense at all to me. So when I refined my search, I came up with Panzer Abt 66 as you stated. Thanks again! Im still wondering if this man was part of the 2 Leichte Division ( light tank battalions) or if he was part of the later converted 7th Panzer Division? Either way, good to know what the tabs read!

Not trying to post over Kenneths beautiful photos, but figured I'd share some new Luftwaffe Feld-Division/Flak photos with LUFT GAB in wear!

Do the Obergefreiters tabs look like Feld Div or Flak to you? If they were flak, he would normally have a flak badge with the LWGAB right?

    Nice photos Bill

Andreas: And another question that makes no sense if he was just a regular post man: What on earth is he doing in Hitler's garden in full SS-uniform in photo #20?

See post # 809, it's the sleeve diamond for Freikorps Epp. (By the way, you can also see it in photographs of Julius Schreck.)
