Is this a original photo or a postwar print?
I got this from a market in Berlin for 4 euro. I think it's a interesting photo but i don't know if it is original. It says 1930 on the back. Can anyone see if its original? I like the photo but i doubt that it is original, the seller did not seem very seirous as he had "adolf's aoutograph" for 50 euro...........

Re: Is this a original photo or a postwar print?
Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Very hard to say if it is a period print or a modern reprint. Try a blacklight on it.
Regardless, as you say, it is a good image.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Is this a original photo or a postwar print?
Hello, could you please provide a pic of the reverse? Also, do you have a size of the photo? Is the "1930" handwritten? Thanks. As Ade said, it is worth a blacklight test. But please remember that blacklight tests, like most "tests" are not 100%. There are photos that can come up UV negative and still be post-war /modern printed. But, any photo that comes up UV positive.....I would be VERY skeptical of. But I dont see anything about this photo that stand out "fake" to me, other than the poor saturation quality.

Who should be as fake a photo?
does not cost much...

Re: Is this a original photo or a postwar print?
EVERYTHING is faked these days....... This cost me 4 euro so if someone can produce this for 40 cents, they made a 1000 % profit...!!

Re: Is this a original photo or a postwar print?
such a photo will cost us 50-99 cents where's the profit?
-
Re: Is this a original photo or a postwar print?
Like i told you, it did NOT cost 50-99 cents, it cost 4 EURO so the profit was 3.60 if it was faked or reprinted. The chances of getting a original photo like this for 50 cents if you buy it seperalty, i think is very very slim. In Sweden i would say its worth maybe 8-10 euro....... That is a 7.60 euro profit... selling 100 of them is 760 euro profit... Do you want me explain it closer to you? Like i said, EVERYTHING is faked these days..

Okay, I have many photos for 4 €.
For us ( Bavaria ) it is not a rarity
