Just picked up locally this photo postcard of a 'very serious young man' decked out in his black wrap...... and who looks strangely familiar to me?? ( or maybe not )

A nice postcard 14cm x 8.5cm embossed with 'Photo-Windhorn' so I guess that seals it as being genuine?
( still, cannot be too careful these days )

Early I assume has the wrap has piped collars. Also the TK is stitched in place, which was done to stop them falling off.

It looks flat and more square than round. Compare it with the piping around the collar which is smooth and round.

Indeed and more like late war tabs, an enigma. Also quite long and thin like assault gun tabs. You see some odd configurations being worn, not an issue. Perhaps when he got promoted he treated himself to some new tabs.

I see what you mean. It looks a bit like tress rather than felt piping.
I'll do a high res scan and see if we can deduce any more..
