Here is a new addition to my collection of photos. I have no idea who this might be. The photo is clear enough that he should be identifiable. Also, an inscription on the reverse.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
The caption identifies the occasion as the crossing of the Dnjepr River on 1 Sept. 1942 and the person as an Oberleutnant of a Pionierkompanie.
The name looks like "Kallbitz" or something similiar to me; this man could be Helmut Kalbitz, who was a Pionier RKT.

Photo of General der Infanterie Siegfried Haenicke Commanding General of the 61st Infanterie Divison, he was awarded the RK on 17/9/1941 for the combat performance of the Divison during Operation Barbarossa in the Baltic States particulary the heavy fighting in Estonia including Operation Beowulf the capture of the Baltic Islands of Estonia.
Haenicke was also a winner of the Pour Le Merite from WW1 !!
