Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Very Nice photos!! And an awesome thread idea as well.
I know Ive shared these before, but they belong in this thread....
RKT's and Kommaners from the 9. Panzer Division. Taken on day of Hubicki's Farewell ceremony
One of my favorite pics in my collection.......
This is "General Lt" Gunther Angern's Knights Cross Ceremony....being handed to him by General Ludwig Cruwell on August 5, 1940.
Gunther Angern would soon take command of 11th panzer Division in Cruwell's place. On February 2, 1943 w/ 16 Pz Division, Gunther Angern would take his own life instead of surrendering w/ German Forces at Stalingrad.
Here is General Fritz Kuhn w/ 14. Panzer Division - Operation Barbarossa
He was killed in an Air Raid in Feb 1944

Nich tread Paul, gents. I have some too but no ability to post them--unless you want to see the one of some Generalmajor I just posted from elsewhere? I have 4 that belonged to RKT Glatzner (SP?) and some fo von leeb, von Rundstedy, 4 of Guderian, one Ringel-had 2 but one was pinched from my collection) and others.
I also tried to find another pic of Wolfgang Ryll, and was unsuccessful. And you're right, it would be nice if the RKt's portrait photos were archived or something. Some of these RKT pics are certainly scarce... and if there are others....they are hidden in albums, rarely or never to be publicly seen.
This is General Friedrich Materna, Kommander of 45. Infanterie Division. He also kommanded XX. Armeekorps
Everyone else in the photo is named on back, but I havent translated yet
