    These three photos was a gift from a collector.
    1st: Lieutenant, Second Army. December 1940
    2nd: Soldier
    3rd: "Funeral of Comrade Warschun". + 20/06/1940
    Karl-August Warschun, died on the Western Front.
    Buried in the Cemetery Weiskirchen / Saarland. (Endgrablage: Block 1 Reihe 12 Grab 1).

    Hi javi, great pictures. I always like photos of soldiers wearing their helmets. The funeral photo carrying the casket is also very interesting. In a five year period of time, the Germans went from having full military burials for almost all their dead, to not even having time to bury their dead. Quite an extreme difference. Thanks for sharing.

    There comes a time that Germany had too many dead .... and many have not been recovered.
