Hi Chaps & HPL2008, here's another KM Coastal Art. I need help to translate. I can work out the date & he's Uncle Wilhem; but other than that I'm stuck.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Cheers,
Richard.

Hi HPL2008, thanks for your help. Much appreciated, Cheers, Richard.
Hi Chaps & HPL2008, I've picked up a few more postcards with text on the back. The 1st is another KM Coastal Art. I need help to translate. I can work out the odd words; but am struggling with most of it.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Cheers,
Richard.
The 2nd a LW man.
The 3rd is a bit boring; but with plenty of text.
The first one says...:
"Als kleines Andenken an
meine Geschütz-Ausbildung
vom 1. Mai 1942
Dein Franzel"
...meaning...:
"As a little memory of
my gun training
of 1 May 1942
Your Franzel"
("Franzel" being a diminutive/affectionate form of the first name Franz.)
The second one says:
"Meiner lieben Arbeitskame-
radin, Frl. Jakobsmeier zur
freundlichen Erinnerung.
Herbert Kampmeier
Stralsund, 2 June 42"
...meaning...:
"To my dear work com-
rade, Miss Jakobsmeier as a
fond memory.
Herbert Kampmeier
Stralsund, 2. Juni 42"
(Almost, but not 100 % sure on the surnames.)
The text on the reverse of the haystack photo says:
"Muß schnell einige
Worte schreiben da ich
Dich noch nicht vergessen
habe. Bitte schicke mir
ein Bild v. [= von] Dir u. [= und]
schreibe wie es Dir
geht, hoffentlich gut.
Viele Grüße v. [= von]
Otto"
...meaning...:
"Have to quickly write
a few words as I
have not forgotten
you. Please send me
a picture of you and
write me how you
are, hopefully well.
Many greetings from
Otto"
Hi HPL2008, brilliant help as usual. Much appreciated, Cheers, Richard.
Hi Chaps & HPL2008, here's another KM Coastal Art. I need help to translate. It's in Sütterlin script (I presume) so I'm totally stumped,
Thanks in advance for any help,
Cheers,
Richard.
