Article about: I could go on for ages on this. Last one from me and I hope I'm not over stepping the boundary with this shot. It is a well known picture

During my search for photos of awards and medals being worn for Bill T's thread, I came across this photo in a period German book I have. I think it is a great photo and representation of the determined German army at the onset of the war. So I decided to create this thread: Show Us Your Game Face!!! Post any pics you have of the rough and tough German soldier, sailor, airman, etc, before battle, during battle or in the aftermath. Lets see how long we can keep this thread going!

It's the face that shows you are "game". Ready to rock & roll/search and destroy

This SS officer captured in Normandy is one of my favourite wartime pictures. He is not a happy bunny.

And these guys at Stalingrad. From the weather and clothes, it looks like they were taken before the s**t really hit the fan though.

This guy is a little more cheerful, again at Stalingrad I think in September or October. Note the Russian camo material used as a helmet cover.

I think it says Bereit fur Europa gegen die (hamellangen zions?), Ready for Europe against the (??). Maybe something antisemitic from the 'zion' part.
