    Translated - The ass of the world begins here. What kind of vehicle is that in the photo? Looks like a GAZ Russian Jeep maybe? NH

    Hi Neil, There are a serious of photos showing them salvaging parts from all types of wrecks, from which they built their own vehicle. I am trying to improve the quality so I can post on this forum.

    Signs showing Hier beginnt der Arsch der Welt were common in the area of Army Group North particulary around the Wolchow front , deep forests , swamps , mud , water , mosquitos , ticks !!! The arse of the world indeed !!

    What was your Uncles unit ??
